Is this the end of the road for Senator Malala ?

In a statement by the Wanga Council of Elders, the elders confirmed what has all along been public knowledge, that Hon Cleophas Malala is indeed a Luo hence a stranger in Luhyaland.

The elders confirmed that the senator’s father came from Nyanza and settled in Wangaland. He was then allowed to marry from there.

The elders reaffirmed that whereas Luhyas are a peace-loving community that embraces visitors, they won’t allow such visitors to purport to speak on behalf of the community.

The embattled Senator on his part rubbished this statement and went ahead to declare his loyalty to his father’s party ODM, courtesy of which he now serves as the Deputy Minority leader in the Senate.

The ODM Party has also assured the embattled Senator of a direct nomination in 2022 after his expulsion from his party ANC which he long deserted

Things are however thick for Malala with close to zero chance of getting reelected again in Kakamega, his only recourse would have been to secure a slot as nominated MP or Senator via ODM but that too is now out of reach as Hon. Osotsi seems to have beaten him to it, the fellow ANC rebel is said to have been assured a nominated MP slot since he is un-electable.
